The Ghana Bar Association together with the Judicial Service has marked their 36th Anniversary in memory of the three murdered Honourable Justices of the High Court of Justice in Ghana’s history.
Three gallant judges Justice Cecilia Koranteng- Addow, Justice Kwadwo Agyei Agyepong, and Justice Fred Poku Sarkodie were abducted 36 years ago during curfew hours and murdered.
The incident which occurred on 30th June 1982 pumped fear in Ghanaians and is also marked as a moment of grief for the nation.
To mark the day, the legal team had a mass celebration for the lost souls at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Adabraka Friday, June 29, 2018 to remember the good works of the Justices.
The President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo, Members of Parliament and members of Ghana Bar Association among others were present to commemorate the day under the theme “The night Shall Come”.
