England is through to the last eight of the 2018 FIFA World Cup after beating Colombia in their first ever penalty shootout win in a major tournament.
English skipper Harry Kane gave England the lead after converting from the spot kick in the second half but the Colombians pulled an injury-time equalizer to make the score even resulting in penalty kicks.
Liverpool Skipper Jordan Henderson missed England’s third penalty when David Ospina the Colombian goalkeeper saved his effort.
The Three Lions of England however fought back, kicking the balls into the net and proceeding to the next round in the tournament.
They will face Sweden in Samara on Saturday, July 7 for a place in the last four of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
