Flood victims in Lakeside Room 6 and its environs in the Ga East District are calling on the government to come to their aid.
The residents lost several properties with some of them being displaced due to the floods that occurred on Monday, June 18. They are therefore appealing to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) to provide them with some relief items to help make their lives comfortable.
Speaking to gijonlinenews.com, Sydney Gyasi, a flood victim said that “…me and my family do not have a place to sleep, we can’t go to work and we were expecting those NADMO people to come and provide us with some relief items but no show” and because of this they feel neglected since it has been four days since the flood.
