The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council has set June 30 and July 2, 2018 for a crusade against same sex marriage in Ghana. General Secretary of the council, Rev Emmanuel Barrigah says the three-day prayer is to raise awareness on the severe social preferences of Lesbian, Gay,, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) rights in the country.
In an interview on Adom FM's 6pm News Bulletin, Rev Barrigah stated emphatically that “homosexuality is demonic, thus it is about time Christians pray ceaselessly for God to intervene”.
He is of the conviction that the enormous pressure from foreigners to get Ghana as well as other African countries to embrace same sex marriage are part of a great ploy to dominate the continent.
He noted, however, that the council will not condone the legalization of the LGBT Rights but will show love to gays and lesbians.
