The 11th Congregation of the Ghana Institute of Journalism slated to be held on September 22, 2017 has been postponed, a notice from the Students' Representative Council has indicated.

A notice from the school's administration read: "The 11th Congregation Ceremony scheduled for Friday, 22nd September, 2017, has been postponed to a date to be announced later."

As a result of the postponement, the SRC has rescheduled it's Akwaaba Trip to September 23rd so as to allow for more students to participate.

A new date, according to a statement signed by the SRC's General Secretary Nathaniel Alpha, will be announced later by the Registrar.

Students reaction

Meanwhile, a number of students who were scheduled to graduate on the postponed date shared their sentiments.

"We do not understand what is going on now. We are really in a state of confusion now," a student spoke on condition of anonymity.

"The date has been changed so frequently to the extent that personally am not bothered anymore. Whenever they are ready they can inform us," another who appeared less upset indicated.

"This has come at a time where  there has been alot of complains regarding the true reflection of students grades and their class. However, management is tight lipped on the matter leaving students completely in a state of confusion. But what cannot be established is whether this development is as a result of instability of students grades," lamented a student.
