Food vendors from across Accra took advantage of the Greater Works Conference; an event organized by the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), to make sales and recorded hefty daily earnings.
Speaking to gijonlinenews.com, many food vendors in and around the Black Star Square shared how their change in location for a period of five days made them richer.
Ibrahim Zaana, a sausage and kebab seller said that the rate at which people bought from him before, during and after the program each day was very overwhelming and he made good business out of it.
“Business has really been moving on well since I came here but because my sausages and kebabs are not so much, I am not able to satisfy all the needs of my customers,” he said.
A fried rice seller, Aba Serwaa, revealed that her minimum daily sales increased massively.
“I used to make about GH¢ 150.00 daily but since I started selling at this program, my income has increased to about GH¢ 400.00,” she said.
Gijonlinenews.com also interacted with some buyers around the Black Star Square and they said they are being attracted to buy the foods, especially when they close from the program since they become hungrier after the close of the program.
The conference was a five day-long program which ended yesterday [Friday] with an all-night service. The Greater Works Conference, which is organized yearly, is meant to draw more people closer to God and began on July 24 [Monday] and took place at the Black Star Square each day.
