GIJ WOCOM garner support for beauty pageants

The Women Commissioner of the Students' Representative Council of the Ghana Institute of Journalism, Justina Odoi has expressed her support to all female students contesting in various pageantries.

She made her intentions known through social media precisely WhatsApp urging the student body to also support the delegates; Hephie Naa Armah and Emily Randolph for Miss Universe Ghana, Andriana Kukuwa Adu for MissTourism Ghana and Henrietta Mensah for Ghana's Most Beautiful in their good course.

She stated: “Aside the classroom learning, pageantries also are media through which the students get to build their confidence and also meet people and build contacts for future purposes”.


When asked why she urged the Student body to also support the delegates, she explained: “At the end of the pageantries, when the students win, the flag of the school will be raised higher and the student body will take part in the glory”.

One of the delegates who is representing Greater Accra Region in Ghana's Most Beautiful Season 11, Henrietta Mensah expressed her gratitude for the support she is receiving. "She's been there for me from Akwaaba, to Miss Communicator till now. I promise not to let her, GIJ and the whole Ghana down."
