Francis Ntow

Francis Ntow is the son of Mrs. Mary Acheampong and Mr. Francis Ntow Blay. He was born on March 27, 1993 in Senya Beraku in the Central Region. He started his basic education at the Jane Quarshie Happy Home Preparatory School. Francis was moved to the Senya DC Primary and JHS where he sat for his Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) because Jane Quarshie at that time was just up to Primary 1.

He got admission to the Senya High School in the year 2007 where he read General Arts. He was the library prefect from the year 2009 to 2011. He wrote and passed his West African Secondary School Certificate Examination in the year 2011.

He gained admissions to read BA in Communications Studies (Journalism) at the Ghana Institute of Journalism in the year 2013. He held many positions both in class and campus during his stay. He was the representative for his class during the second semester in his third year. An external affairs representative, for his class., GJA GIJ chapter representative in his final year. . He was also the PRO for the Sports Writers Association of Ghana, GIJ chapter during the 2016/2017 academic year. The National Director of Projects, Initiatives and Partnership for Echo of Leadership Africa, (ELA).  Administrator for CommDigest Africa, a subsidiary of RADCOMM LLC.

He’s the administrator for newsworldgh.blogspot.com. Francis is a freelance developer and sports journalist. He’s also a social media content developer.

He loves to read and teach. He’s also good at drumming and loves to make new friends and impact the little he knows on others. He’s favorite Bible verse is Psalm 121:1, 2.

He did a month internship with GTV SPORTS+ where he was a journalist and a production assistant on the following programs: Sunday Night Live (hosted by Karl Tufour, Sports Journalism Lecturer – GIJ, Sports News @3, Studio 5 – Breakfast Show, The File – Mid Morning Show.

He had nominations in the maiden edition of the GIJ EMINENCE AWARDS, 2016 in the following categories: Outstanding SRC member of the year and GIJ sports personality of the year. But unfortunately for him, he couldn’t grab any of the awards.

He has currently been posted to the Ghana Institute of Journalism for his National Service.
