Medeama Sporting Club rounded off the first round of the Ghana Premier League in an impressive style after beating Techiman City 2-0 in an outstanding match played on Tuesday.
Bismark Oppong opened the scoring after 47 minutes and Kwesi Donsu converted a penalty to ensure the home side secured the maximum points. The Mauvs and Yellows, who suffered a torrid start of the season, have now gained momentum and have been on a great run following their continental Competition triumph over Sundown of South Africa.
Two wins from two outstanding matches after the first round break, sends the Tarkwa based side 5th on the Premier League table, level on points with Aduana Stars in second position, Kotoko in third and hearts of oak in fourth.
Medeama are unbeaten in the last 5 premier league matches as they travel to Obuasi to play New Edubeasi when the second round of the league resumes on 26th of June.
