MODELING AS CAREER
She had her modeling training at the EXOPA modeling agency after she completed senior high school, after that she engaged in many fashion shows and just after she completed university, she organized a fashion show for kids under the brand name OWUSUA FASHION GH. She even used fashion for her final project work when completing school (GIJ)
‘My purpose for organizing GLOS WORLD FASHION SHOW FOR KIDS is to promote the African culture and to introduce kids into fashion, in other words to make children know what fashion is all about and the importance of promoting Ghanaian culture.’ She explained.
Even though she did not have much in terms of funds she willingly made something big out of the little she had and with the support from her family she was able to put together her kids fashion show on July 9, 2016. Like the saying goes ‘if life gives you lemons, put on a party dress and go out for cocktails’ and that is what she did.
According to her, her love for kids and the support from her family are her motivation to organize her latest fashion show.
‘I spoke to many people about my idea of organizing a fashion show for kids and the response was good from some of them and I was also discouraged. Her reason for using kids for her maiden show is not only because she loves kids but also to instill in them the Ghanaian fashion.
She explained how difficult it was to get the kids for the show because most parents have bad perceptions about modeling and for that reason she had to use Uniqueen International School.
Gloria explained that, her expectations were ninety percent met after her maiden show and she also promises to bring us more and urge her next show will be fabulous.
