The chase at the top of the Ghana Premier league (GPL) has intensified with only two points separating the leaders from the fourth placed team after match day 18.

League leaders Wa All Stars failed in an attempt to stretch the gap between them and their challengers following a goalless draw game to defending champions Ashgold at the Wa Park. Fatau Dauda stood between Wa All Stars  and a win with his miraculous saves to earn a point for his team.

Meanwhile in Accra,  Coach Sergio Daniel Traguil’s Hearts of Oak side recorded a second straight league draw at home against another top four side Aduana Stars. “Frustrated” Sergio will have to wait for another week for his first victory in the Ghana Premier league since taking charge of the Rainbow side.

Asante Kotoko however  only managed a one all draw against Inter Allies at the Tema Park earlier on Saturday. Bennet Ofori’s first half goal was cancelled out by Federick Opoku Yamoah after  the recess.

Here are the full results of match day 18:

Inter Allies 1-1 Asante Kotoko

Techiman City 1-0 WAFA

All Stars 0-0 Ashanti Gold

Bechem 2-0 Chelsea

Dwarfs 2-0 Hasaacas

Hearts 0-0 Aduana

Edubiase 1-1 Liberty

Medeama 2-1 Dreams
