As Muslims are in the holy month of Ramadan which is the fourth pillar of Islam, it is believed that, during this month of fasting and prayers, Allah Almighty answers prayer requests. During a gathering at Nima in the Ayawaso district, all Muslims communities in Accra met to pray for the leaders of the country, economy, institutions, citizens and the upcoming general election. Mohammed Bashiru Yanduom in an interview with gijonline news said, "we have only one country which is Ghana and we need to protect our self from any unacceptable acts. Many countries went to the polls and we saw what happened at the end. Most people see Muslims as violence and we want to prove to the world that we are not but rather we are for peace."
This year's election has created tension in the country therefore we need to pray to the Almighty Allah and since we are in the Holy month, our prayers will be answered in order for this years's election to be a sucessful one. But our massage to all politicians is that, they should do the right thing and not to create any bad impression among themselves which can cause violence because Muslims are for peace and not war. Long live Ghanaians and God bless Ghana.
